Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibit and Sale

The work of 25 select artists will be featured at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s third annual Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibit and Sale from June 7 to July 5. The purpose of this month-long exhibit and sale is to support the creativity of Arkansas’ artists and promote art awareness and appreciation. http://www.uawri.org/page/281/AIA-professional
The event also serves as the main fundraiser for our scholarship fund used to support participants of our AmeriCorps program and internships by college students.
To kick off the annual exhibit and sale, the Rockefeller Institute will host an opening reception June 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets for the reception are $10, and reservations are required. Click here to register online or call (501) 727-5435. http://www.prestoregister.com/cgi-bin/order.pl?ref=uawrc.net&fm=9

Beginning June 9, the exhibit will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Other times are available by appointment – call the front desk at (501) 727-5435 to make arrangements before you arrive. The exhibit is closed on Sundays.
The Arkansas artists selected to participate in this year’s Arts in the Air 2008 event are listed above.
