A three day "Art Escape" on beautiful Petit Jean Mountain

I’m not an abstractionist. I’m not interested in the relationship of color or form or anything else. I’m interested only in expressing basic human emotions: tragedy, ecstasy, doom, and so on.

A three day "Art Escape" awaits you at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute of the University of Arkansas System.

Choose from these three great workshops, each taught by a working artist: Landscapes in Pastel with Jack Hetterich; Loosen Up with MM Kent: Impressionist Oil Painting; Acrylics: A Watercolor Alternative with Charles Harrington. The artists will provide 16 hours of instruction, including individual assistance and critiques. Meals and evening programming will allow more time for students and instructors to interact. Registration deadline is September 26. Space is limited. For more information, visit www.uawri.org or call 501.727.6220.
